NASHIK: Deolali NCP MLA Saroj Ahire on Saturday said she was with the Ajit Pawar-led faction, reports Abhilash Botekar. With her announcement, all six legislators from Nashik district have now thrown their weight behind Ajit.
“I am with Ajit dada as I have confidence he will guide me in developing my constituency. I faced issues during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government’s tenure, and I believe those issues will not exist under the current dispensation,” she said. Ahire had not made her stand clear after Ajit’s rebellion as she was in hospital.
Her move presents the Sharad Pawar faction with the daunting task of rebuilding the party in a region considered a stronghold of undivided NCP.
